At 19:30 - 21:30
The programme includes a premiere of Anders Koppel's accordion concerto. Koppel, who turns 70 this year, wrote the concerto for accordion virtuoso Bjarke Mogensen, who won last year's Danish Music Critics' Artist Prize. Audiences will also enjoy Grieg's Norwegian-flavoured music and Stravinsky's baroque-inspired Pulcinella ballet suite.
There will be a few musical surprises during the concert, and Programme Manager Maria Frej will talk a little about what the concerts of the rest of the season have to offer. After the concert, the musicians and the audience will have an opportunity to mingle in the Aquarium Foyer, where Maria Frej will briefly interview Bjarke Mogensen about his work on the new accordion concerto.
