In Love with Tivoli

Magical rope pulls, couples in love and excerpts from Queen Margrethe of Denmark's ballet, "The Swineherd", all interwoven by Pierrot as the narrator.

From Thursday, April 13, 2017 - Tuesday, May 16, 2017

The Pantomime Theatre

This performance is all about love as it is expressed at the Pantomime Theatre. Harlequin, Columbine and Pierrot will be introduced in dance and excerpts from the classical pantomimes. They will dance excerpts from August Bournonville's renowned ballet, Napoli, and we will be shown excerpts from Dinna Bjørn's and Queen Margrethe's fairytale ballet, The Swineherd. Everything will be intertwined by a narrator who, with Pierrot's help, will demonstrate some of the Pantomime Theatre's marvellous magic with rope pulls and sets that shift before our eyes.

Programme
