The Orangery

The four young musicians in Bjäran come from Västernorrland, and met at a young age on folk music courses. They quickly found themselves in a quartet, and their close interplay is the signature for their modern version of folk music from their part of Sweden. They released their debut album, Ack Ve, in 2014 and its success paved the way for both critical acclaim and tours of Europe and the USA. Their second, eponymous album was released last year. Bjäran are Magdalena Eriksson on violin, Christian Cuadra on saxophone, Peter Bonde on guitar, mandolin and cittern and Mattias Mårtensson on percussion.
