The Glass Hall Theatre

The Augustinus Foundation owns 24 valuable instruments. The first, a Grancino violin from 1699 was bought in 1978 to support the young og recently appointed concert master in The Royal Danish Orchestra, Kim Sjögren. Through the years the foundations instruments have been - and still is - in the hands of significant Danish musicians as Nikolaj Znaider, Andreas Brantelid, Erik Heide, The Danish String Quartet and Nightingale String Quartet

The Augustinus Foundation and Tivoli invite you to a whole day in the service of music. Through the day the music will be celebrated with concerts and events and will culminate at 9 pm with a concert on the open air stage with the world famous mezzosoprano Joyce DiDonato and Tivoli Copenhagen Phil.
