Throughout the day music is celebrated with various concerts and performances and the programme culminates at 21.00 with a concert at the Open Air Stage with the american super-mezzosoprano Joyce DiDonato and Tivoli Copenhagen Phil.

11.00 Introduction with the Danish National Junior Choir, the Pantomime Theatre

11.30 & 12.00 H. C. Lumbye, the Orangery
An actor poses as famed composer H. C. Lumbye, who created Tivoli's classical music profile in the 19th century, and introduces classical music for children.

12.00 String relay – Instruments crafted by master craftsmen, the Glass Hall
A group of talented musicians perform together and individually. Listen to the different sounds of their instruments and learn more about them.

17.00 & 19.00 Modern Step, the Pantomime Theatre
Three of Denmark's leading ballet companies, the Tivoli Ballet Theater, Corpus and Danish Dance Theater, present contemporary dance with music by Arvo Pärt, Caroline Henderson and Philip Glass.

20.00 The Tivoli Youth Guard, the Open Air Stage
Festive concert with The Tivoli Youth Guard.

21.00 Joyce DiDonato and the Tivoli Copenhagen Phil, the Open Air Stage
The internationally famous mezzosoprano Joyce DiDonato performs alongside the Tivoli Copenhagen Phil. The programme includes Italian arias and American songs.

23.45 Fireworks, the Gardens
An entire day dedicated to music concludes with a musical themed fireworks.
