As the curtain rises, the soloist is revealed on the stage from the very first second to the dramatic tones of Ravel's gypsy music – first entirely alone and after a few minutes joined by the dreamy orchestral notes blending with the soloist's before the music develops in several enchanting directions.
Arabella Steinbacher is the violin virtuoso who will be treating the audience to a very special afternoon. Steinbacher plays all over the world as a soloist with all the leading orchestras, including the New York Philarmonics, London Symphony Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra, but luckily she also sometimes visits Denmark, where critics and audiences alike are always keen to experience her fabulous technique and powerful style.
